Sundays Indoors at the Walton Youth Centre (November – March)

During the cold Winter Months we offer indoor lessons in place of our first 2 Sunday sessions. Due to the restriction of only being able to hire the Youth Centre for two hours, our time table for indoor lessons is as followed:

Saturdays (all year)

Mini red ball tennis sessions for 4-8 year olds. We take children of all ages and abilities and turn them into mini tennis tournament player through our popular coaching programme. These are very sociable sessions which will also help children learn team skills and improve their confidence and well as fitness.

Sundays (all year)

Fun, lively and friendly mini red ball tennis sessions for 4-8 year olds. Our coaches are all LTA qualified and First Aid trained. Lead by Head Coach Roger Fretwell with assistant coach Phil Giddings pupils can rest assured that they will receive quality tuition.

Winter Lessons  – Indoors

From November to May half term our 10.00am sessions on sundays take place in the sports hall at Walton on Thames Youth Centre which is adjacent the hard courts of  Elm Grove Recreation Ground.  Walton Youth Centre has well appointed facilities with tea and coffee available for waiting parents. Plenty of parking is available right outside the building.

 Summer Lessons (May-October)

From May half term through to autumn all coaching takes place on the recently resurfaced hard courts at Elm Grove Recreation Ground. They are adjacent to Walton Youth Centre. The park has a very good childrens’ playground with a zip-wire near the courts so is perfect for all the family.

Friendly Tournaments

During the summer regular mini red tennis tournaments are held at the courts for children to enjoy friendly competition

Currently our groups with 6 pupils that can rally well will have tournaments once a month with all participants getting a prize
